  Servus! 👋 By day I'm a Software Engineer jumping into every part of the stack I can get my hands on - by night I'm a legendary amateur musician touring the world writing silly songs in my lovely little corner of Munich, Germany.

  I've had a fairly varied career from big places to startups to consulting to indie-app-development but always with Product at the heart of it - I love being part of making something that people get genuine delight from. More importantly I love bringing delight to the people around me whether that's with my home baking, terrible jokes or spontaneous songs (like the one I played to all my new colleagues in the first weeks at PostHog 🙉). I don't believe in being embarrassed - the best things happen when you open yourself up and share what your passionate about.

  I try to work on as much of PostHog as I can, going wherever the most challenging problem lies. Secretly though my favourite thing to work on is Hedgehog Mode 🦔

  Before PostHog I was building an open-source loom alternative at Snapify and reached the front page of HackerNews using Tablane.

  After spending most of my adult life digging into data, I decided to switch to product management only to realize that I'm still mainly just looking at charts and writing SQL. I'm definitely not mad about it, and I'm happy to complement this by occasionally speaking with a human being about our product. So if you have something to say, let me know!

  Outside of work, you can mostly find me on a plane en route to either the beach or the Alps. I love snowboarding, collecting special edition books (also reading them), and all dogs.

  I started programming when I was 12, when my parents brought home our first 56K modem. I honestly can't figure out what I did with my childhood before that. I coded throughout high school and eventually went for a degree in Computer Science at the University of Wrocław in Poland. During the first year of my master's program, I decided it would be cool to join a startup for a year and then return to finish my studies. Now, I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

  I've spent almost a decade helping to move events between clouds, so it should come as no surprise that at PostHog, I work on the CDP team. I love working on busy services with high reliability requirements.

  My biggest software engineering achievement is the AssistantToTheTransportManager class that over five years of its existence made its way to tens of millions of web browsers. My biggest disappointment is not being able to make "crunchy frogs" a thing in programming.

  Aside from software engineering, I try to escape to the mountains as often as I can. My favorite travel memories are treks in the Himalayas and Andes, as well as a (too) spontaneous bikepacking trip through Patagonia. I also spend a lot of time running and bouldering. Despite all that time spent exercising, I probably hold the title for the least fit person ever featured on Eurosport.

  I'm pretty much a Munich cliché when it comes to how I love spending my time: anything involving mountains—hiking, mountaineering, climbing, bouldering, via ferratas, skiing, or swimming in the nearby lakes—is my happy place. I’m also passionate about cycling, particularly bikepacking and long-distance rides. When it comes to food, I’m an unapologetic enthusiast (I like to think of myself as Italian by choice). When I’m not out adventuring, I’m recharging my introvert batteries with a good book, making amateur music, or writing songs that tend to have a melancholic vibe.

  What energizes me work-wise is shipping cool stuff with amazing people. It’s as simple as that. Having worked across companies of all sizes, I’ve discovered that my heart lies with small teams that have the autonomy to quickly bring their products into the hands of customers.

  Fun Facts: I was the opener for a famous german rapper in my hometown once & played in the selection roster of the german lacrosse national team but didn't make the cut.
